Occupational Therapy
As rehabilitation
specialists, the Progroup Occupational Therapists focus on the individual's
ability to function independently after injury or illness at home, in the
community and at work. The following are
ways we can help you:

Identify problems and contributing
factors limiting abilities to manage personal care, homemaking, work, school
and leisure activities

Plan programs, identify interventions
to optimize functioning

Access resources needed to safely
manage at home after illness or hospitalization (e.g. home physio, nursing
care, personal care, housekeeping assistance)

Prescribe and adapt wheelchairs,
assistive devices

Provide ergonomic and environmental
evaluation of your home, school or work place for accessibility, function
-
Meet with family/caregivers/work
supervisors to facilitate a return to former roles and responsibilities

Document assessment results -
problems, goals, progress
